Egyptian Cotton delivers luxurious feel, fine fibres, and superior durability. Organic Cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, supporting cleaner farming and conscious sourcing. Recycled Cotton transforms pre- or post-consumer textile waste into new fibre, reducing landfill impact and resource use. European Flax Linen
European Flax linen is a premium natural fibre known for its strength, breathability, and timeless appeal. It requires relatively low water and fewer agricultural inputs, making it a considered choice for sustainable production. Naturally moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating, linen becomes softer with use while maintaining its durability. Well suited for table linens, upholstery, and lightweight bedding, it offers lasting comfort with a refined finish.
Jute
Jute is a durable natural fibre widely used for its strength and versatility. Grown primarily in alluvial regions, it matures quickly and requires relatively low agricultural inputs. Its coarse texture and natural finish make it suitable for bags, rugs, mats, carpets, and upholstery backing. Biodegradable and renewable, jute serves as a practical material for applications where durability and environmental consideration are important.
Hemp
Hemp is a durable natural fibre valued for its strength and low environmental impact. It grows quickly with minimal water and inputs. Naturally breathable and long-lasting, hemp softens with use while retaining structure, making it suitable for upholstery, outdoor textiles, and workwear.
Tencel
Tencel, a branded lyocell fibre, is sourced sustainably from eucalyptus wood pulp through an award-winning closed-loop process. It delivers outstanding moisture management, silky softness, and strength comparable to synthetic alternatives. Ideal for sensitive skin, Tencel is used in our premium bedding and apparel lines. The solvent-spinning method recycles nearly all water and chemicals, making it one of the most environmentally responsible fibres available.
Modal
Modal is a premium cellulosic fibre extracted from beech tree pulp, known for exceptional softness and colour retention. It resists shrinkage and fading while remaining breathable and smooth. We incorporate modal into luxury apparel and bedding collections where comfort and longevity matter. Produced through a closed-loop process, it represents a more sustainable alternative to conventional viscose, minimising waste and environmental impact.
Viscose
Viscose is a semi-synthetic fibre derived from wood pulp, offering a silk-like feel at an accessible price. It drapes beautifully, absorbs moisture well, and breathes comfortably against the skin. At Toyota Weavers, we use viscose for apparel and soft furnishings where fluidity and lustre are desired. Though plant-based, it undergoes chemical processing, so we source from responsible manufacturers prioritising reduced emissions and water recovery.
Rayon
Rayon is a versatile regenerated cellulosic fibre made from wood and agricultural by-products. It mimics the comfort of natural fibres while allowing diverse textures from crisp to velvety. At Toyota Weavers, we employ rayon in apparel and home textiles requiring excellent drape and absorbency.
